Like most business owners, I too have been exposed to the obstacles that come with owning a business. It is a constant “trial and error” journey, but one always makes headway.
When you have a hobby that jets off into an idea bringing you a hand-full of clients, you get used to doing things yourself such as Operations, Marketing, Sales, Logistics, Finances. Not that this is what you desired, but being a start-up with no partner leaves you little choice but to run the show yourself ; to establish control over the processes that take place in the business until such time you are resourced to get the assistance you need.
It’s quite normal that as the business grows, you get so consumed with running the day-to-day operations and lose track of certain activities that you needed to attend to.
Often, we tell ourselves that we have all things under control, until we drop one ball, not just once but a few times. It is at this point we start looking for an Accountant.
Hiring an Accountant is much like eating your vegetables. No one really likes them much and we all consider them boring (myself included), despite our knowledge about their nutritional benefits. Accountants can be perceived as tiresome but as you already know, it is for your benefit.
I share the same values with anyone who’s ever built something from scratch. From the conventional “blood, sweat and tears” to pouring out every resource they’ve ever had at their disposal, to see “THIS THING” succeed.
The Values that drive my organization are:
Choosing the right Accountant is like choosing a best friend or partner who has nothing but your best interest at heart, who will value who you are, what you offer, and value the special moments and details of your life you share with them. Cheesy analogy, I know, but it makes sense. Opening your business’ most intricate information to someone outside your circle is a given risk, and that is why you have to choose wisely the individual who is willing to go through your business’s highs and lows with you. We are, without a shadow of a doubt, those “best friends” you need by your side to make business Kaone.
